What is hypnotherapy?
A gentle, guided way to reach the part of the mind where real, lasting change takes hold.
Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis as a tool to help you create real, lasting change in your thoughts, feelings, and habits. Together, we guide you into a state of deep relaxation and focused awareness — hypnosis — where you remain fully conscious and in control the entire time. You're not asleep, and you're not "under" anyone's power. You're simply deeply, comfortably focused.
From that relaxed state, we're able to gently access the subconscious mind — the place where our deepest patterns, beliefs, and emotional roots live. This is where change takes hold and grows.
Hypnotherapy works beautifully as a complementary practice alongside the care you're already receiving. It's not designed to diagnose or replace medical or mental health treatment — think of it as another tool in your toolkit, supporting the work you're already doing to feel better.
What hypnotherapy is not.
If your only reference point for hypnosis is a stage show or a movie scene, it makes sense to feel unsure. Here's a little clarity.
You won't lose control
You remain fully aware and in charge the entire time. No one can make you do or say anything against your will.
You won't be “under” or unconscious
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focus — closer to daydreaming or that drowsy moment right before sleep than anything mysterious.
You won't forget the session
You'll remember what happened, just as you would after a good meditation or a deep rest.
This isn't stage hypnosis
No clucking like a chicken, no loss of dignity, no performance. This is quiet, private, guided work — just you, your own mind, and a little gentle direction.
People come to hypnotherapy for all kinds of reasons.
From anxiety, stress, and sleep to confidence, habits, focus, and processing grief, hypnotherapy meets a wide range of needs. Whatever brought you here, sessions are built around your specific goals — rooted in nature-based imagery, gentle guidance, and a pace that respects your own inner wisdom.
There's a lot it can help with. Here's a fuller look at where hypnotherapy can make a difference.
